What your hourly rate covers

One rate per electrician, per hour worked. We're the employer, so all of this is ours to carry.

The electrician's pay, including casual loadingPaid under the applicable award or agreement, with the casual loading on top in place of paid leave.
SuperannuationPaid to the electrician's own fund on their ordinary hours, at the current guarantee rate.
PAYG tax withheldWe withhold and remit it. Nothing for you to deduct or report.
WorkCover (workers' compensation)Our WorkCover policy covers our electricians on your site. We're the employer, so the premium and any claim are ours, not yours.
Portable long service (LeavePlus)Paid where the work falls in scope of the Victorian portable long service scheme.
Public liability and professional indemnityOur insurances, current and certificate available on request.
Licence, ticket and right-to-work checksA-Grade licence, the tickets and clearances your site needs, and right to work — all verified with expiry dates before anyone is deployed.
Payroll, timesheets and weekly invoicingWe run the pay cycle and invoice you weekly on the hours your supervisor signed.

What it doesn't cover

Said here rather than discovered on your first invoice. All of it is in your quote and the Client Services Agreement before you sign.

GSTRates are quoted excluding GST; it's added at invoice.
Overtime, weekend and shift loadingsThese are negotiated and written into your quote before the work starts, so they're never a surprise. The loading applies to the wage part of the rate, not the whole rate: our margin doesn't grow on a Sunday.
Minimum engagementEach rostered electrician attracts a minimum engagement per day on a confirmed assignment, as set out in the agreement.
Travel and accommodation for regional workWhere a site is far enough out that it genuinely applies, it's stated in the quote before you accept — never added to an invoice afterwards.
Materials, plant and consumablesWe supply labour only. Materials, tooling beyond hand tools, and plant such as EWPs are the host's.
Supervision, induction and the safe workplaceYou direct the work, induct our electricians and control the site. We're the employer, not the electrical contractor — your REC, your Certificate of Electrical Safety.

Are your electricians licensed and insured?

Yes. Every electrician holds a current Victorian A-Grade Electrician's Licence, and we verify licences and tickets before anyone is deployed. Grid Force holds Labour Hire Authority licence VICLHL11668. Public liability and WorkCover (workers' compensation) cover are in place for every placement before work starts, and certificates of currency are provided to every host.

How fast can you deploy?

Our target fill window is 24-48 hours for standard requests. Tell us the skills, tickets and clearances you need and we match available, verified electricians straight away.

Do you hold a Victorian labour-hire licence?

GridForce operates as a labour-hire provider under the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 (Vic). See our Compliance page for details.

Can you supply security-cleared personnel for secure sites?

We capture each electrician's current security clearance (e.g. NV1) and expiry, and can filter matching to cleared electricians where a site requires it.

How does pricing work?

One hourly rate per electrician, for hours actually worked. It covers their pay and casual loading, superannuation, PAYG, WorkCover, portable long service, our insurances, vetting and payroll. GST is added at invoice, and negotiated overtime and weekend rates are set out in the quote before the job starts - see what's in the rate above. No joining fee, no lock-in.

Do you supply subcontractors, or take on a scope of work?

No - labour hire only. We supply licensed electricians who work under your direction and your electrical contractor registration. We don't price a package, take on a scope, or issue Certificates of Electrical Safety; those stay with you. If you need someone to own the outcome rather than add hands to yours, you need a subcontractor, and that isn't us.

Can you scale a crew up or down?

Yes. Because workers are casual and paid only for hours worked, you can flex crew size with your project.
