Secure sites

Security-cleared electricians for government and defence sites

On a secure site, the clearance is the gate. We record every clearance and police check against the electrician with its expiry, and match on it — so nobody is turned away at the boundary.

Short answer

Grid Force Hire supplies A-Grade electricians with police checks and security clearances to government, defence and secure sites across Victoria, on a casual hourly basis. Clearances are recorded with expiry dates and matched to the job before an offer is made, and expired clearances automatically stop a match.

The work

What hosts ask us for on government and defence sites

Defence and government facilities

Electrical works inside secure facilities where access, escort and clearance rules govern the whole day.

Secure data and communications

Containment, cabling and power for secure comms and equipment rooms.

Base and campus maintenance

Planned works and upgrades across secure campuses, on programs that run for months rather than days.

Matched to your site

Tickets and clearances this work usually needs

This is what we're typically asked for on this kind of site — it isn't a fixed list. What your site needs is whatever you tell us on the request, and that's what we match to. Held is not the same as current, so we check the dates too.

  • Victorian A-Grade Electrician's Licence (Energy Safe Victoria)
  • Security clearance at the level the site requires (e.g. Baseline, NV1)
  • National police check
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Low Voltage Rescue and CPR
  • Working at heights and Elevated Work Platform
  • Site-specific inductions and escort protocols

What's different about crewing this sector

Clearances are held by the person, sponsored through a process that takes time. We can only match people who already hold what your site needs — we can't accelerate someone through a clearance to suit a start date, and we won't pretend otherwise.

Expiry dates are the practical risk. A clearance that lapses mid-job is recorded and flagged before it becomes a locked gate on a Monday morning.

Tell us the clearance level in the request. 'Secure site' means different things on different bases, and matching to the wrong level wastes everyone's week.

Questions

Government and defence hire, answered

What clearance levels can you supply?
We match to the clearances our electricians actually hold, recorded with their level and expiry — commonly a national police check, and security clearances such as Baseline or NV1 where held. Tell us the level required and we'll tell you straight whether we can fill it.
Can you sponsor a clearance for our site?
No. Clearances are sponsored and issued through the relevant government process, not by a labour-hire provider. We match to people who already hold them.
How do you stop an expired clearance reaching site?
We track every clearance against its expiry date, so a lapsed one takes the electrician off that job before it becomes a locked gate on a Monday morning. It doesn't depend on anyone remembering.
